Ferry Services

If you are looking for a peaceful day, sitting on the hidden sandy beaches of the Crystal Coast with the water coolly lapping at your feet, our ferry services are just for you. Offering the best rates around, we can take you to the perfect spot on the sand islands, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the public beaches.

The islands of the Rachel Carson reserve are just as beautiful as they are educational. Only accessible by boat or ferry, these islands are one of the best-kept secrets of the Crystal Coast. They give you the option of relaxing and taking in the sun on the pristine shores or exploring the nature trails where you can observe wildlife, such as feral horses, gray foxes, river otters, sea turtles and many species of fish, in their natural habitat.

Our ferry is open year round and departs from 610 Front Street in Beaufort. Call for seasonal time changes, (252) 728-4129.

What to Bring

Carrot Island – Bring, tennis shoes\water shoes, water, sunscreen, and bug spray. Pack anything to make the stay more enjoyable as long as you can carry it! Trails have cactus and sand spurs which are not friendly to our furry friends’ paws so no dogs on this trip.

Bird Shoal – Pack like you’re going to the beach: anything to make the stay more enjoyable as long as you can carry it!

Sand Dollar – We recommend you pack light. No carts or wagons. We recommend a bucket for sand dollar hunting.
